President’s Message:
Greetings from the SunLand
Owners Association. We always enjoy sharing information
about our wonderful area. We are a golf community located just
outside of the town of Sequim, Washington. We are a ferry ride
and about an hour's drive from Seattle. We are also a ferry
ride and a twenty minute drive from Victoria, B.C. SunLand is
two miles from the Olympic Mountains to the south and two
miles from the beaches of the Strait of Juan de Fuca entering
Puget Sound to the north. We have less than 17 inches of rain
each year, about 305 days of sunshine and enjoy mild
temperatures.
As you can tell, we have unlimited activities available to
us in every direction. The mountains offer various levels of
difficulty to hikers and skiers along with colorful beauty to
walkers and campers. For seafood lovers, stream and lake
fishing and nearby deep sea fishing are available as well as
crabbing, clamming and going for mussels and oysters.
Discovery Trail has been created for 20 miles of biking or
walking from Port Angeles to Port Townsend.
To supplement the active life of your choice, the local and
neighboring theatrical groups provide a great selection of
plays. Concerts are provided by a symphony and pops orchestra
and various other groups can be heard from the nearby Olympic
Music Festival Barn to piers on the water and parks in town.
We have the Open Aire Market for local products and artistry,
and many local stores and boutiques for all kinds of shoppers.
SunLand residents can enjoy the tennis courts and swimming
pool, and our SunLand
Golf and Country Club provides 18 holes of beautiful and
challenging year 'round golf. SunLand provides residents with
the Gathering Place for private parties, bridge, etc., and
Sunny Shores cabana which is located on the beach for private
parties and BBQs.
There aren't enough hours in every day to be able to enjoy
all of the amenities SunLand offers, but why don't you come
and see for yourself. Enjoy a round of golf, see the different
styles of custom homes and take a walk on the beach. Click
