Minutes of December 13, 2011
Attending: Marsha Carr, Henry Meyer, Rick Godfrey and Tyler Sweet
Absent: Carol Goodman
Old Business
- Henry delivered the press release he has done for the Silver Tees article. We decided to delay submitting it to the papers until the Spring of 2012.
- We think it would be beneficial to compile a list of Sequim professionals and send them a letter explaining SGCC’s different membership options. Marsha will find a volunteer for this promotion.
New Business
- Henry suggested we change the name of the Silver Tees to Executive. All present loved the idea. Tyler will be conferring with Jay Tomlin about the name change and the ordering of new score cards reflecting the Par 64 for the Executive Tees.
- Rick suggested we distribute, quarterly, a flyer to every home in SLOA letting them know what’s going on at SGCC, i.e., social events and café events. We liked the idea and agreed that this might result in additional social memberships. We need someone to organize this effort.
- Tyler reported on an “Associates Drive Day” program he would like to set-up in May which would offer incentives to our existing Assoicates who invited friends to play. He also shared a number of other promotions he is planning for the members in 2012.
- We discussed the renewal of the Tee Box signs and have initially decided that all of them will be up for renewal in September. We would contact the businesses in early July and, as an incentive for them to continue advertising, we would offer to display a miniature of their current sign on the putting green during the Member/Guest tournament.
